Whitsbury Accounting

Accountant Services, Bookkeeping, Accounts, Tax Returns, Web design, Online Marketing & Business Advice

After over 20 years working in finance and commercial accounting I set up Whitsbury Accounting with the aim of working in the local Fordingbridge area, where I grew up and my family is based, to help and support local companies grow. We offer the basics at highly competitive rates, starting at £500 for a set of statutory accounts and £150 for a tax return. We know many companies in the Fordingbridge area are paying accountant firms over £1,000 for a set of basic accountants, which to us seems unethical and unsustainable, in an era where people can easily check prices online it won’t be long before these accountant firms lose the trust of their customers. We do not want this; we want to build a long term partnership where we earn extra fees by using our experience with household names such as B&Q, Ernst & Young, HSBC and Hobbycraft to help you and your company grow its profit, essentially we grow together.

The company is fully qualified and licensed by the AAT, I have been a qualified Accountant for over 15 years and the team here are all trained and qualified to the necessary standards. Have a browse of the website, we have tried to keep the pricing as and service offerings for Tax returns and Accounts as simple as possible but any questions especially around Business Advice, Web Design and Online Marketing please let us know. We are based just outside Fordingbridge so we are happy to meet up to chat things over whenever you want. Hopefully you’ll use this as the first step to both a new accountant and a new partner and driver for your company.

Our Vision

Using simple upfront pricing we want you to let us do what we love; so you can get on with what you do best, by covering all the basic Accountant services at highly competitive prices and then assessing how we can help grow your firm (if you want). We are a Fordingbridge Accountant firm who want to be the Accountant of choice for people in Fordingbridge.

We obviously also want to work with successful healthy companies, to that end we are here to give you advice, formulate strategies and generally help you grow with us.

We primarily want to help local companies in the Fordingbridge area, this is where we live and we want the town to thrive.

The purpose of this site is also to give you an introduction to the beautiful village of Whitsbury, located on the outskirts of Fordingbridge, which consists of a main village street lined with timbered and thatched houses as well as a great traditional pub, the Cartwheel Inn. Its location on the edge of the downs and between Rockbourne, Fordingbridge and Breamore make it an excellent base for long walks in breath taking countryside. The parish was originally chartered in Wiltshire, but its chartered status was transferred to Hampshire in 1895. There are several tumuli on the Whitsbury Down and accounts of more as well an Iron Age hillfort, known as Whitsbury Castle, which once overlooked the village and is now just a series of chartered earthworks. The land rises generally from south to north, reaching a height of 120 metres at Whitsbury Castle. Whitsbury Wood and Whitsbury Common are to the east and south of the village. The Church of Saint Leonard, built in the 14th century, was altered and restored in the late 19th century and contain the grave of William Hill, of betting shop fame, who previously owned the stud farm in Whitsbury which has produced famous race horses such as The Gold Cup winner Desert Orchid. The main employment is based upon the very successful equine and agricultural industry, comprising 4 major yards of racing stables and stud. Consequently, the people-intense nature of these businesses has allowed Whitsbury to retain a charm that has been lost in many other villages and communities as well as its main high street not being a through a fare. The village is also home to Whitsbury Accounting a great accountant services company.
